Renaissance RB-5-FL Fretless
RB5 FL Bass
Doug Robinson, bass player for British fingerstyle guitar virtuoso Martin Simpson, Bob Brozman's "Thieves of Sleep", and Latin-Blues guitar monster Tino Gonzales is the proud owner of an RB-5-FL. "The Renaissance 5-string fretless is the most ungodly instrument I have ever owned. Everything about it is superb...the pickup, the weight, the neck, the stings, the scale length, the spacing...don't get me started. It records beautifully. I use it in any situation where delicacy, nuance, and great tone can be appreciated, whether it's jazz, world music, folk or pop. I loved my 4-string Renaissance so much I couldn't wait to get a 5-string, and now I'm in heaven whenever I play it."
